A Guide to Hypnotherapy Accreditations, Certifications & Associations

At Inspired to Change, we are committed to offering our clients high standards of hypnotherapy service. All our hypnotherapists are registered with professional bodies. They have all achieved a substantial level of training and experience, and are qualified to at least diploma level.

Our accreditations include esteemed organisations and demonstrate our commitment to quality. They also reassure you that we are endorsed by leading UK awarding bodies and have agreed to abide by a professional code of ethics and complaints procedure.

Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD)

All of Inspired To Change’s hypnotherapists are qualified to at least the Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma level. They have trained with the Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training School (CPHT), one of the leading hypnotherapy schools in the UK.

The Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma has been accredited by the NCFE as having measurable learning outcomes benchmarked at Level 4 (using Ofqual’s Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) level descriptors).

NCFE accreditation gives assurance that the content of the hypnotherapy training course is of a high standard and meets the rigorous requirements of a national awarding organisation. This is an unregulated qualification and is not a nationally recognised qualification.

NCFE

NCFE is an awarding organisation recognised by the qualification regulators for England (Ofqual), Wales (Qualification Wales), Scotland (SQA Accreditation) and Northern Ireland (CCEA Regulation). NCFE is one of the largest technical and vocational awarding organisations in the UK, certifying hundreds of thousands of learners each year.

National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH)

All of our therapists are recognised by the National Council for Hypnotherapy, the UK’s leading not-for-profit professional association.

The National Council for Hypnotherapy was established over 50 years ago and holds one of the largest registers of independent hypnotherapists in the UK. It has been approved as an NCFE centre and champions excellence in hypnotherapy.

It offers the HPD (NCH) diploma, ensuring practitioners are well-prepared. It engages with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), and focuses on robust training, ethical standards, and professional development. The NCH adheres to a strict Code of Conduct, has detailed Complaints & Disciplinary Procedures, and mandates comprehensive insurance and continuous professional development for its members.

Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH)

The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy supports its members in their careers and promotes solution focused hypnotherapy. It provides the only dedicated register for solution focused hypnotherapists.

Selecting AfSFH-affiliated therapists means choosing professionals who are verified to be properly qualified and insured, aligning with high professional standards. This membership provides the public with confidence and protection, ensuring they receive safe and reliable therapeutic services.

Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)

The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council was set up by the government to protect the public. They provide an independent UK register of complementary healthcare practitioners.

Therapists registered with the CNHC must meet UK-wide professional standards for complementary healthcare. Selecting a CNHC Registered Practitioner means choosing confidently, knowing these practitioners adhere to a robust Code of Conduct, Ethics and Performance. This registration signifies a commitment to high-quality care and professional integrity, offering peace of mind to those seeking complementary healthcare services.
