About Heli Sarin-Yates
I have over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field and am passionate about supporting adults and young people to improve their mental health and overall wellbeing. My approach is positive, compassionate and focused on helping clients understand how their brain works, recognise their strengths and develop practical strategies for managing life’s challenges. I believe that meaningful change happens when we focus less on the problem and more on the future we want to create. Through Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, I help clients manage anxiety, stress and low confidence, build resilience and develop a more positive outlook. I qualified as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist in January 2026, allowing me to combine my extensive mental health experience with a forward-focused approach that supports positive and lasting change.

My Experience
For 20 years, I worked in start-ups and scale-ups, directly with owners and founders. I’ve experienced the pace and pressure of building a business, and know what it demands of the people running it.
Most people don’t come to me the moment things start feeling harder. It’s gradual. You cope, adapt, sometimes assuming the worst before you’ve even tried, and tell yourself you’ll have more headspace and feel better when things calm down. But you don’t, do you? Eventually you realise it’s not going away on its own, and if anything, it’s getting harder to shake.
‘Push through.’ ‘Crack on.’ It’s the language we hear everywhere, at work and in the way we talk to ourselves. But there’s a real difference between pushing through and keeping going. They can look exactly the same from the outside, but pushing through is forcing yourself to carry on even when you know something needs to change. Keeping going means paying attention to what’s working and being willing to change what’s not.
The work we do together is about noticing what’s working, even something small, and giving your brain more of that to work with, so you can think clearly, lead, and have the capacity for the things that matter to you, at work and outside it.
‘I’d been curious about hypnotherapy but didn’t know where to start. Working with Marina has been transformational, my approach to life and how I handle stress have completely changed. I’m a happier, more grounded version of myself. I couldn’t recommend it more!’ – Alex
