Hypnotherapy in Weston-super-Mare

About Kerry Seymour
I help adults, teenagers and parents who are experiencing stress, anxiety, overwhelm, overthinking or low confidence and feel stuck in patterns of thinking or behaviour that are holding them back from living the life they want.
As a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist in Weston-super-Mare, I support my clients using a combination of Solution Focused talking therapy and hypnotherapy, drawing on neuroscience and positive psychology, to help them understand how their brain works, feel more in control of their thoughts and emotions, and build their resilience.
My approach is grounded in the Solution Focused model, which acknowledges what has happened in the past without becoming stuck there or focusing on the problem. Instead, we focus on where you are now, where you want to be and the small, achievable steps that can help you move forward.
By understanding your mind, emotions and behaviours, change can feel more manageable and sustainable, creating positive changes that fit into your everyday life.
I have a particular passion for supporting new and expectant parents, as I believe the Solution Focused approach offers a positive, practical and empowering way to navigate the changes and challenges that come with this stage of life.
I also believe this approach can be especially helpful for teenagers and young people, helping them to build confidence, develop emotional resilience and feel better equipped to manage life’s challenges.
What matters most to me is helping people reduce stress and anxiety, reconnect with themselves and rediscover enjoyment in their lives. I love seeing clients regain hope, build confidence and realise that meaningful change is possible through small, achievable steps towards the life they want to live.

My Experience
My background in psychology and in mental health organisations has given me a deep understanding of the challenges people face and the importance of compassionate and effective support.
Alongside my professional experience, my own life experiences have helped me to understand that life can sometimes bring unexpected challenges that leave us feeling uncertain, overwhelmed or disconnected from ourselves.
I have personally experienced low confidence in my teens and early 20s, postnatal depression, the challenges of supporting loved ones through terminal illness and adapting to the demands of military life. These experiences have strengthened my belief that everyone’s journey is unique and that many people carry challenges that others may not see.
I know that asking for support can feel like a big step, and my aim is to create a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where clients can explore change at their own pace and leave sessions feeling calmer, more hopeful and more motivated to take the next step towards positive change.
