About Victoria Anderson
I work with people to manage feelings of overwhelm. I enable them to understand that anxiety and depression are natural responses to prolonged stress in our lives.
I help people to slow down and listen to what their bodies are telling them. I give my clients the tools they need to regain control.
I believe that everyone should be given the skills and knowledge to deal with life’s challenges and be supported to live fulfilled lives.
I am particularly interested in helping parents find balance in this modern world. The importance of physical and emotional presence is crucial for the whole family.

My Experience
I have worked in health and social care for 20 years.
After leaving university I worked for a charity supporting young offenders. In 2005 I started working for a drug and alcohol action team. These involved multi agency partnerships responsible for implementing the government’s drug strategy. I moved into regulation in 2015 as a mental health inspector and have inspected several mental health services across the UK.
After having my children, I experienced burnout and used the power of hypnotherapy to manage my own busy life. I decided to train as a solution focused hypnotherapist to share this with others.
I qualified in 2021 and now run my practice from a home therapy room by the beach in Seaham, near Sunderland.

More About Me
I have a young family and after having my children I realised that I needed new ways of coping. Like a lot of the people I now work with, I realise that I lived my life with my nervous system on overdrive.
After having hypnotherapy myself I really started to understand my own behaviour and reactions to situations. This led me to train in solution focused hypnotherapy and my passion grew from there.
I love sharing this enthusiasm with the people I work with and those around me. Most importantly, I share this with my girls. I teach them that big emotions are ok and we all feel overwhelmed now and then.
When you need help the hardest part is finding what will work best for you. For some people it’s hard to find where to start. When I found my therapist her words just made sense and she spoke my language. There really is a different way and I want to make sure people know this.
