Stress and anxiety can have a negative impact on our confidence. Many people don’t realise they are living on autopilot. By explaining how our brain works and the science behind it, I help you to take back control of your thoughts, feelings, emotions and, ultimately, actions.

I also specialise in fears and phobias. In just 4 short weeks you can transform how you feel about your fear so you can get on a plane, go outside, get in a lift or whatever it is that is holding you back

My Experience

I spent 20 years helping and supporting security officers with their career goals, before deciding to train as a hypnotherapist.

I have been in practice for two years as a clinical hypnotherapist in Islington, North London. I help people with various issues from building or regaining confidence, managing grief, weight loss, and overcoming stress and anxiety.

I also deliver several webinars on wellbeing and resilience each year.

If you're scrolling through these reviews wondering whether to book in a session with Peter, take this as your sign to do so!When I sought out Peter's help, I was at my wit's end. Feeling I'd exhausted every option, I figured I had nothing to lose by trying hypnotherapy (despite admittedly having some reservations about what it would entail!)After a quick Google search, I chose Peter on a whim because the location worked well for me, and I cannot describe how fortuitous that was! Peter's sessions are structured in a very specific way, with the hypnotherapy component occupying only about 50% of the time. He spends the rest of the session explaining how the brain works, giving you practical tips to set yourself up for mental health success, and helping you get better at "positive thinking" through various questions and prompts.As I mentioned above - I have literally tried everything, so imagine my surprise when after just a few sessions with Peter, my mind felt calmer and clearer than ever.I can't say for sure whether it was the hypnotherapy that helped, which is why I wouldn't recommend you book in with just any hypnotherapist - what I do know is that Peter's specific combination of tools worked wonders for me and quite literally changed my life, so I'd emphatically recommend anyone looking to improve their state of mind to book a session with Peter.

When I started hypnotherapy with Peter I was a bit anxious as I thought it was like you see on TV but Peter took the time to explain what happens and the theory of how it works to me. He has a calming voice and I trust him completely. Peter listened to my goals. 1 was increased confidence, 2 was to get over my fear of thunder and lightning and 3 to be less stressed.Within just a few sessions I felt more confident. My boss noticed it and things that I normally would bestressed about aren't affecting me as much.We have had 2 sessions on my phobia and typically it hasn't thundered at allsince but I feel comfortable that I can deal with it instead of hiding under the covers. Next we are tackling weight loss - if the sessions so far are anything to go by then I know I'll be slimmer and fitter in the coming months.Definitely try hypnotherapy with Peter. I really enjoy my sessions and look forward to relaxing each week.UPDATEPeter helped me with my phobia of thunder and lightning in March. Last night I experienced the worst storm of my life in US with 111 bolts per min. It was a total transformation - instead of hiding in a cupboard or under the cover (very protective ????) I stayed in bed and eventually went to sleep whilst it was still on. No panic attacks! So I can personally recommend Peter for hypnotherapy for phobias (plus any other issues!) Thank you Peter

More About Me

During my 20 years of providing career development support, I saw how the pressures of office life were causing more and more people to struggle with stress, anxiety and depression. While going through my own issues, I discovered how hypnotherapy could support people.

Taking my passion for helping people, I decided to train as a hypnotherapist. The thing I love about hypnotherapy is that I can help people so quickly. Most of my clients see me for 10-12 weeks. I support people on their journey to becoming more confident and less stressed. They are then ready to move on with their lives as happier individuals.
