Who I work with

At Inspired to Change I work with people who are experiencing an emotional or physical issue which is holding them back or who are struggling to cope with life’s challenges and adapting to change. Often they have tried other approaches to move forward but ultimately they still feel unhappy or stuck. People just like you. 

Regardless of what brings people to see us they all have one thing in common:

  • They are motivated to get better, cope better or be better
  • They are ready to get their lives on track
  • They are inspired to change

And that is what I am passionate about and skilled at helping people to do!

In addition to the many different issues that the solution focused approach is effective at helping my personal passion is helping people cope with big life events, stress, self worth, motivation, confidence and success.

    Sometimes you just can’t make the changes you want without the help of an expert. I have worked with Ali several times now to overcome anxiety and low mood. She makes it a positive process that is safe and rewarding.     Ali treated me when I was suffering a great deal, I didn't have any expectations, I still can't quite believe how she changed everything. Ali dealt with me professionally, with great intelligence and humour.. The cherry on the top is that she's a lovely person, so I felt better and enriched after my first treatment, I knew that Ali's solution focused hypnotherapy would work and it did.     Ali Holland’s is an incredible hypnotherapists and saved me during lockdown… cannot recommend her enough.I started having hypnosis with Ali in March 2020, I suffer with anxiety and have ADHD I was worried how I was going to cope at my wedding.The pandemic hit and we carried on treatment via Zoom. This was a life saver to keep me on track while my world fell apart.I love how Ali explains about the brain and how it works…she gets you to start thinking from your positive part of the brain and block out the nasty health and Saftey officer that holds a lot of us back.Pre my wedding we discussed how I wanted the day to go from start to finish, and then I went into trance while Ali described my day reiterating that I would be happy and calm.She kindly recorded this and I listened every night the week leading up to the day….. And my wedding was exactly how we discussed, it was the best day of my life and I was happy and calm all day.Everyone was so surprised at how calm I was.     Ali Hollands is literally the bees knees of hypnotherapy. She has helped me so much over the years with all kinds of issues, and even more importantly she helped my partner quit smoking in just one session (he's been a non-smoker now for ten years without one single relapse after having started as a child!). She's helped my family members with anxiety, and on top of that she and her colleagues helped us all through the pandemic with the most incredible, selfless, helpful and insightful public service 'broadcasts' and meditations that were a literal lifeline during lockdown and all the stress that came with such uncertain times. Ali deserves her own TV show. She's a tonic in human form (and also the owner of many pairs of cool shoes).

    I have a horse and 3 years ago started to freeze when riding. Ali helped me get through this by finding the frightening cause, and using her magical hypnotherapy skills, turning that cause into a comedy. No problems since - she’s brilliant! Highly recommend!

    Had a few sessions with Ali and it seems to be the only thing that worked for me. Her sessions are great and Ali makes you feel very comfortable during the sessions. To look back on how far I had come and how quick it all happened was a great feeling and I would definitely recommend this service to anyone who is considering it!

    I qualified in traditional hypnotherapy in 2011, NLP in 2012 and retrained with the Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training School (CPHT) in 2015, one of the leading hypnotherapy training schools in the UK. As well as working one to one with clients I lecture for CPHT; helping people find a rewarding career and make a positive impact in their communities.

    I am a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy the UK’s leading not-for-profit professional association as well as the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and the Complementary and Natural Health Care Council.

    When you work with me I use an evidence-based solution-focused and client-led approach to support you. My work is underpinned by my training in neuroscience and solution-focused brief therapy. Solution-focused brief therapy is a widely respected, practical and empowering modern approach to therapy. As a client of mine, I’m likely to be helping you with a broad range of mental and physical health-related issues, including stress, anxiety and overwhelm, fears and phobias, depression and panic attacks, confidence and self-esteem, focus and motivation.

    How much does it cost?

    I offer a FREE Initial Consultation to help me better understand how I can help you.  Hypnotherapy sessions after that can be paid for as you go at £95 a session, or most of my client opt for the savings that come with purchasing a package of 6 sessions for £475.
